My favorite act of patriotism.
(It says "farewell to polls" because November 2008 was the last election with actual polls in Washington State. We are now completely absentee.)

Black and White intimately united instead of divided, powerful. Beyond lust driven, I'm talking about a conscious decision, realization, an awakening that there is strength in numbers. That we're all in the sane boat, especially when that boat is sinking. Jungle fever, it's what happened in the 2008 election, resulting in Obama becoming America's 44th President. This is Ken, he was my Regional Field Director. Honestly, I love this picture so much. It is the epitome of the time in the campaign office.

I walked into my friend's apartment last night to find this on the wall: a life-size wall stickie of John McCain, and a campaign poster for Barack Obama. Her roommate is an affable Republican, while my friend is a moderate Democrat. They've managed to get along as friends and roommates quite well.
